The three-day celebration of the Bacolod Chicken Inasal Festival was “generally peaceful”, according to the police, citing the absence of any untoward incident.
It was a crime-free festival, the Bacolod City Police Office said.
Almost 600 police personnel, augmented by force multipliers, were dispatched to the three festival sites from May 26 to 28.
Personnel of the Philippine Coast Guard, Bureau of Fire Protection, the Bacolod Traffic Authority Office, and the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office also beefed up the police manpower in securing the three-day festivities./GB
