7 LGUs register zero Covid-19 case

Seven towns and cities in Negros Occidental have zero active cases of COVID-19 as of Jan. 4, the Provincial Incident Management Team reported.

These are the municipalities of Candoni, Don Salvador Benedicto, E.B. Magalona, Ilog and Pulupandan, and cities of La Carlota and Sipalay.

However, cases in San Carlos City rose from 18 in Dec. 28 last year to 27, registering the highest number of active cases among 31 local government units in Negros Occidental, excluding Bacolod City.

Trailing behind with San Carlos City are Hinigaran – 12; Cadiz City – 11; Silay City and Escalante City – 10 each; Kabankalan City – 9; Toboso and Calatrava – 8 each; Pontevedra and Victorias City – 5; La Castellana and Murcia – 4 each; the report added.

Others towns and cities with active cases are Bago City, Cauayan, Binalbagan, Isabela, San Enrique – 1 each; Talisay City – 2; Himamaylan City, Moises Padilla and Manapla – 3 each. – GB
