A 31-year-old woman was intercepted by authorities while attempting to sneak illegal drugs and paraphernalia into a police detention facility in Barangay Granada, Bacolod City Oct. 4.
The Bacolod City Police Office said the suspect, of Barangay 19, introduced herself as a wife delivering food to her husband incarcerated at Police Station 5.
During a routine inspection of food deliveries, duty officers caught the woman in plain view possessing an improvised tooter along with a plastic sachet containing suspected shabu.
Police confiscated the drug paraphernalia, cash, and approximately 0.5 gram of suspected illegal drugs, valued at P3,400.
The suspect was informed of her constitutional rights before being placed under police custody for proper legal disposition.
Her husband is currently detained, also for violating Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. | TMD
