237 Sipalay gov’t employees test negative for drugs: PDEA

A total of 237 employees of the Sipalay city government tested negative for illegal drugs in a random drug testing conducted recently, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Regional Office-Negros Island Region said Aug. 30.

The surprise drug screening covered regular employees, job order, and contractual workers of key departments, including the City Tourism Office, City Engineering Office, City Treasurer’s Office, City Planning and Development Office, Traffic Management Office, City Health Office, and the City Environment and Natural Resources Office.

Personnel from the PDEA Negros Occidental Provincial Office witnessed and assisted in the exercise to ensure proper protocol, transparency, and procedural integrity.

The activity highlights the commitment of the city government of Sipalay to maintaining a drug-free workplace and fostering a safe, healthy, and productive working environment for its employees, the PDEA-NR said. | TMD
