At least 40 to 50 mothers with disabilities in Bacolod City are set to receive prosthetic limbs from Nanay Partylist.

Rep. Florabel Yatco said this initiative will equip the beneficiaries with the mobility needed to pursue employment opportunities

“The real objective of Nanay Partylist is to provide assistance and make their lives easier. I noticed that many mothers are working, and right now, I also saw many who are missing a hand or a foot. If they are complete, of course, they can work better,” she said.

“When a mother feels sick or unwell, the entire family is affected, that is why we need to help mothers more, so the whole family stays happy and well-managed,” Yatco added.

She said she is also collaborating with Nikki Benitez, founder of Nikki Cares Foundation, to establish expanded community outreach and welfare initiatives across Bacolod City.

She outlined plans to introduce educational and technical-vocational training programs, including culinary, in partnership with the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority, to provide beneficiaries with access to sustainable livelihood skills.
