Police confiscated around P214,200 worth of suspected shabu and arrested a 36-year-old suspect in Barangay Tibsoc, San Enrique, Negros Occidental, July 26.
The Police Regional Office-Negros Island Region said that alias “Pat”, a jobless street-level individual and a resident of the area, has been under police monitoring since 2022.
He was originally from Bacolod City but relocated to San Enrique, where he built a home and used gamefowl breeding, trading, and cockfighting as front for his illicit drug operations.
Police opted to secure a search warrant after previous buy-bust attempts were unsuccessful due to the suspect’s refusal to directly sell illegal drugs to undercover operatives.
San Enrique Municipal Police Station personnel executed the court-issued search warrant at around 7:30 a.m. in Purok Bougainvillea, and recovered 31.5 grams of suspected shabu, packed in multiple transparent plastic sachets, along with non-drug items.
“The successful implementation of this search warrant demonstrates our relentless commitment to dismantling illegal drug activities through lawful and intelligence-driven operations,” PRO-NIR director, P/Brig. Gen. Romano Cardiño, said.
The suspect is under custody at the San Enrique Municipal Police Station. | TMD
