A multi-sectoral coalition, led by the Taumbayan Ayaw sa Magnanakaw Network Alliance (Tama Na) Negros, will stage a massive protest in Bacolod City on July 27 during President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s fifth State of the Nation Address.
Organizers expect around 5,000 participants from various progressive groups, labor unions, youth organizations, and church devotees to join the mobilization.
The demonstrators will assemble at the Capitol Park and Lagoon at noon before marching to the public plaza at 1 p.m. for a central rally.

“We call on the people to join us in the streets lambasting the inaction and futile policies adopted by the Marcos Jr government, and in expressing our condemnation against US warmongering and war footing and subserviency to US Imperialism,” said Noli Rosales, spokesperson of Bagong Alyansang Makabayan Negros.
The localized demonstration is part of a synchronized nationwide protest to expose what the groups describe as the true state of the Filipino people. | TMD
