The appointments of Colonels Eugene Rebadomia and Timmar Alam as directors of Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) and Negros Oriental Police Provincial Office (NORPPO), respectively have been finally confirmed by their local chief executives.

After serving as officer-in-charge (OIC) for three months, Rebadomia has obtained confirmation effective May 9, following an endorsement from Bacolod City Mayor Greg Gasataya.

Rebadomia outlined key priorities under his leadership, including the continuation of intensified operations against illegal drugs, smuggling of cigarettes, and other unlawful activities.

He underscored the need to improve police responsiveness to public complaints and concerns, urging residents to promptly report suspicious activities to authorities.

Governor Manuel Sagarbarria confirmed earlier the appointment of Alam as police provincial director of Negros Oriental.

His appointment was described by NOrPPO as a recognition of his leadership performance, operational competence, and commitment to public safety.

During his tenure as NOrPPO OIC, Alam led intensified anti-criminality campaigns, strengthened law enforcement operations, improved police-community relations, and reinforced coordination with local government units and partner-agencies across the province.

Alam reaffirmed his commitment to lead with integrity and professionalism, stressing the importance of unity, discipline, and teamwork in sustaining the organization’s achievements and enhancing public service delivery. | GB
