The P23.723 million sales of the 30th Panaad sa Negros Festival within a period of six days has broken its previous sales records from 2023 to 2025, figures of the Negros Occidental provincial government showed.

The week-long “festival of all festivals” held at the Panaad Park and Stadium in Bacolod City ended Sunday, April 19.

The provincial government attributed the record-breaking sales to the support of the 32 local government units, micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), youth organizations, and all the other sectors, who presented their products to the Negrosanons.

The highest single-day sales was reported on Day 6, April 18 with sales reaching P5.647 million.

Day 1 sales was at P3.385 million; Day 2, P2.077 million; Day 3, P4.36 million; Day 4, P3.707 million; and Day 5, P4.545 million.

The Panaad sa Negros Festival gathers all the cities and municipalities to showcase local products, cuisine, tourism draws, and cultural presentations through themed pavilions and trade booths.

As the festival ended Sunday, capped by the Parokya ni Edgar musical band concert, the provincial government expects sales to increase further, with its final report on sales to be released on April 20.

Provincial Administrator Rayfrando Diaz II hailed the record-breaking success of the 30th Panaad sa Negros, saying it deserves to be celebrated.

“The back-to-back record shows sustained public support for Panaad sa Negros, which also served both as an economic driver for MSMEs and a cultural platform for Negrense identity,” Diaz said. | GB
