Sales in the ongoing 30th Panaad sa Negros Festival keeps beating the records of the last three years, Provincial Administrator Rayfrando Diaz II said on Friday, April 17.
Day 4 sales reached of P3.707 million, which is higher by P1.7 million from last year’s sales on the same day.
This brings to more than P13.5 million generated sales within a period of four days.
The week-long festival will run until April 19.
A notable increase in sales indicates a stronger public engagement and improved economic activity, the provincial government said.
The first four days show that Panaad is both a cultural event and an economic driver, with rising sales reflecting strong public support for local businesses and micro, small, and medium enterprises, it added.
The sales recorded include those from the local government unit pavilions, food alley/park, garden show, and exhibits of the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist, Provincial Veterinary Office, and Technology and Livelihood Development Center, among others. | GB
