Public trust in digital banking continued to strengthen as Landbank recorded a 27 percent rise in the usage of its digital platforms.

The bank said it processed a total of 800.26 million digital transactions worth P4.41 trillion, marking a 30 percent increase in transaction value from 2024.

“Inclusive and sustainable banking is anchored on public trust. When systems are accessible, inclusion becomes scalable, and national development accelerates,” Landbank president and CEO Lynette Ortiz said in a statement. “We remain steadfast in bringing financial access closer to Filipinos — from countryside to countrywide.”

Landbank continues to push a cash-lite economy through its Cash-Lite Campus Program by enabling students to open accounts via the Mobile Banking App, and equipping campus partners and merchants with digital payment systems.

The bank’s Mobile Banking App (MBA) remains the cornerstone of its retail digital adoption, with nearly one million new users over the past two years to reach a 2.40 million-strong user base by end 2025. This surge in adoption translated to 714.39 million transactions worth P618.82 billion, posting year-on-year increases of 26 percent in volume and 37 percent in value.

Complementing this momentum is its Cash Lite Campus initiative, which embeds digital payment ecosystems within universities, enabling fully-digital campus transactions, allowance releases, and merchant payments. Rolled out nationwide, the program has benefited more than 12,500 students, personnel, and campus partners, with further expansion planned for 2026.

“As a student, Landbank’s Cash-Lite helps me track my personal and school related expenses. Especially that I am living alone, it helps me balance my money and manage it properly,” Joy Ann Makiling, a student of the State University of Northern Negros (SUNN), said, highlighting how digital solutions support youth financial literacy.

Digital adoption also accelerated among corporate and government clients. The bank’s corporate internet banking platform, weAccess, processed 51.13 million transactions amounting to P1.84 trillion, up 66 percent in volume and 35 percent in value year-on-year.

Meanwhile, government disbursements through the Electronic Modified Disbursement System (eMDS) internet banking facility facilitated P1.55 trillion across 5.27 million disbursements, reflecting 28 percent growth in both volume and value. The bank’s web-based payment channel, Link.BizPortal, likewise recorded strong performance, processing 8.75 million transactions worth P16.13 billion, with increases of 22 percent in volume and 33 percent in value.

Its digital channels also continued to support grassroots and enterprise-level transactions. Through LandbanKasama Partners, the bank’s agent banking network, 3.10 million transactions worth P16.00 billion were facilitated, expanding digital banking services to geographically isolated and disadvantaged areas.

The bulk credit system, used for large payroll disbursements and batch transactions, processed P74.96 billion, up three percent in value. Meanwhile, the bank’s remittance system facilitated P80.34 billion in remittance flows, posting an 18 percent year‑on‑year increase. Digital tax payments also continued to expand, with the e‑tax payment system enabling P177.25 billion in collections, reflecting a 13 percent growth, it added.

These gains demonstrate how Landbank’s digital platforms are increasingly woven into the daily financial lives of workers, families, and businesses, ensuring timely salaries, faster remittances, and seamless tax payments. ||
