More than P700,000 worth of agricultural inputs, including certified seeds, fertilizer, and other farm supplies, were distributed to farmers affected by recent calamities in La Castellana, Negros Occidental Feb. 16.
Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson, Mayor Añejo Nicor, and OIC provincial agriculturist Dina Genzola led the distribution of agricultural support to help farmers quickly recover by restoring crop production and providing livelihood support, the Capitol said in a press release.

The assistance forms part of the disaster risk reduction program on climate resiliency, implemented through the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist, in coordination with local government units affected by calamities.
