NORPPO receives awards

The Police Regional Office-Negros Island Region (PRO-NIR) honored on Monday, Feb. 9 its outstanding police units and personnel as well as partner stakeholders for their exemplary dedication and contributions to public safety in line with the founding anniversary of the Philippine National Police (PNP).

The unit awardees were Bacolod City Police Office as Best City Police Office, Negros Oriental Police Provincial Office (NORPPO) as Best Provincial Police Office, Dumaguete City Police Station as Best City Police Station, Manjuyod Municipal Police Station in Negros Oriental as Best Municipal Police Station, NORPPO’s 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company as Best Provincial Mobile Force Company, and Bacolod City Mobile Force Company as Best City Mobile Force Company.

Majority of the individual awardees are also under the supervision of NORPPO, including PLt. Col. Joeson Parallag as Best Junior Police Commissioned Officer for Operation, Police Executive Master Sergeant Joanna Duran as Best Senior Police Non-Commissioned Officer for Administration, Police Senior Master Sergeant Zenaida Moya as Best Police Non-Commissioned Officer (PNCO) for Operation, PSSg Fermel Ventula as Best Junior PNCO for Operation, and Rosalita Maria Tindoc as Best Non-Uniformed Personnel Supervisory Level.

Awardees from Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office were PLt. Col. Mark Anthony Darroca, former Silay City police chief, as Best Junior Police Commissioned Officer for Administration, and PSSg Marlone Boletin as Best Junior PNCO for Administration.

The two stakeholder awardees were Dumaguete City Mayor Manuel Sagarbarria and Emmanuel Loplop of Bacolod City.

PRO-NIR Director PBrig. Gen. Arnold Thomas Ibay, who led the awarding rites at Camp Alfredo M. Montelibano Sr. in Bacolod City, said the dedication of 2026 awardees reflects the highest standards of policing and sets a benchmark for service beyond duty. | GB
