NIR’s Top 2 most wanted nabbed for rape, act of lasciviousness

A 51-year-old untrained hilot, listed as the Region’s No. 2 Most Wanted Person, was arrested by operatives of the E.B. Magalona Municipal Police Station and regional intelligence units Oct. 1.

The suspect, a resident of Barangay I Poblacion, was nabbed by the tracker team of the E.B. Magalona Police along with supporting law enforcement units.

He was apprehended by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued Aug. 19, by the Regional Trial Court Branch 69 in Silay City.

The accused faces charges for two counts of rape, with no recommended bail, and two counts of acts of lasciviousness with bail set at P236,000.

He is in custody at the E.B. Magalona Municipal Police Station for proper documentation and disposition before being presented to the court.

“We will intensify our intelligence efforts, strengthen coordination, and act decisively within the bounds of the law to bring fugitives before the proper courts, while upholding the rights of every individual,” Police Regional Office-Negros Island Region director, P/Brig.
