The Bacolod City Police Office, under the leadership of P/Col. Joeresty Coronica, recorded significant accomplishments in its intensified law enforcement operations, from Jan. 26 to Feb. 1.
In the campaign against illegal drugs, BCPO operatives conducted 11 anti-illegal drug operations, resulting in the arrest of 14 individuals. A total of 215.8 grams of suspected shabu were confiscated, with an estimated standard drug price of P1,467,440.
As part of efforts to bring fugitives to justice, the city police arrested one most wanted person and four other wanted persons for the period, reinforcing the police force’s commitment to accountability and the rule of law.
In the crackdown against illegal gambling, police units carried out four operations, leading to the arrest of 10 individuals and the seizure of P1,564 in total bet money, the BCPO said in a press release.
In the campaign against loose firearms, the BCPO recorded the surrender, deposit, and recovery of five firearms. One suspect was arrested and one firearm was also confiscated, contributing to the reduction of firearm-related crimes and the promotion of public safety.
The BCPO continues to call on the public to support police initiatives and to report any criminal activity to the nearest police station or through official communication channels. ||
