Fire hits 21 houses, displaces 41 families

About 130 individuals were displaced by a fire that hit 27 houses at Purok Tambipalad in Barangay 10, Bacolod City on Saturday.

Mayor Greg Gasataya and Rep. Alfredo Abelardo Benitez immediately responded by extending relief and shelter assistance to the affected residents.

All in all, 41 families were affected by the blaze that started in the house owned by Aaron Tupas.

Based on the report of the Bureau of Fire and Protection, a total of 22 houses were destroyed while five others were damaged.

Damage to properties was estimated at P237,500.

No injury was reported among the affected individuals. | GB
