The Police Regional Office-Negros Island Region (PRO-NIR) marked the 32nd Police Ethics Day by honoring 10 police personnel for rendering exemplary performances in a ceremony held at Camp Alfredo M. Montelibano Sr. in Bacolod City on Monday (Jan. 5).
PLt. Col. Joeson Parallag, police chief of Bayawan City in Negros Oriental, and PCpl. Christy Rose Catid were recognized for their commitment through establishing the Oplan Marvel (Operational Plan Multi-Action Response Via Enforcement of Law) in all barangays, a program which provides the beneficiary a sustainable source of income.
PCapt. Maricar Tapiru was awarded for her commitment by conducting a Technical Education and Skills Development Authority-accredited skills training program for the women’s association of Barangay 27, Bacolod City.
PMSg Reynard Tingcang, who is assigned at the Tourist Action Police Unit of the Siquijor Police Provincial Office, was recognized for his commitment through selfless act of kindness by conducting a first aid on one of the tourist visitors at Sambulawan Cave Underground River.
Patrolman Junrey Abarquez, tourist police patroller also of Siquijor Tourist Action Police Unit, was commended for his commitment through a noble act of compassion by assisting foreign national Thomas Osborn, who was struggling to maneuver his wheelchair while boarding the vessel at Siquijor Port.
PLt. Col. Terrence Paul Santa Ana, police chief of Victorias City in Negros Occidental, and PSSg Mark Joseph Juayong were honored for the founding of Balay Paglaum, a project that constructed a housing unit for a family at Hacienda Nagle in Barangay XII.
PEMS Joseph Rodrigo Olis, also of Victorias City Police Station, was awarded for his commitment demonstrated through exemplifying the true essence of “Serbisyong may Malasakit” by providing groceries to vulnerable members of the community.
PSSg Anna Katrina Pacot of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion (RMFB-NIR) was recognized for her commitment demonstrated through an unselfish act of offering to breastfeed a six-month-old baby at an evacuation center in Barangay Poblacion, Santa Catalina, Negros Oriental.
Patrolman Jushane Henry Clamiano, also of RMFB-NIR, was awarded for his commitment demonstrated through bravery amid Typhoon Tino as he carried an infant in his arms while holding the hand of a seven year-old child and guiding them to safety through the storm in Victorias City, Negros Occidental. ||
