Nine police officers under the Police Regional Office-Negros Island Region (PRO-NIR) were awarded with medals during the ceremony held at Camp Alfredo M. Montelibano Sr. in Bacolod City on Monday, Nov. 10.
PBrig. Dennis Esguerra, officer-in-charge of PRO-NIR, led the conferment of awards and commendations to those who have exemplified outstanding dedication, integrity and professionalism in the performance of their duties, in advancing the mission of the Philippine National Police.
The recipients of the Medalya ng Kasanayan were PLt.Col. Jerry Corpuz, Lt. Col. John Ganzon, and Lt. Col. Joel Senogat Jr. for their invaluable services rendered as the Red Teaming during the Undas 2025.
For demonstrating exemplary performance, efficiency, devotion to duty, and loyalty during the Undas 2025, the Medalya ng Papuri were awarded to PEMS Ruel Gubac, PCMS Paulo Matunding, PMSg Glenn Cordero, PMSg Mark Phen Diwatin, PSSg Mark Jesmar Ruiz, and PCpl Joey S Bana-ag.
The PRO-NIR awarded the Medalya ng Kadakilaan to PCol. Dennis Wenceslao, PLt. Col. Jovil Sedel, PCMS Neil Jaboni, and PMSg Joemark Ariola for the arrest of the policeman-suspect behind the death of Kristine Joy Dignadice, whose cadaver was recovered in Bago City, three days after she was reported missing on Oct. 29.
The Medalya ng Papuri were conferred to PCol. Reynaldo Calaoa, PMaj. West Edquila, PCapt. Jailben Las, PLt. Col. Edilmar Alviar, and PLt. Col. Lawrence Gerald Bathan while the Medalya ng Kagalingan were awarded to PLt. Saldy Villocillo and PCpl Jenebeth Vega for the arrest of the most wanted person in NIR in Zamboanga Sibugay on Oct. 25. | GB
