Operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Negros Island Region dismantled a drug den in Purok 1, Brgy. 7, Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental, following a buy-bust operation at around 9:20 a.m. Oct. 19.
The operatives said they seized 10 sachets of suspected shabu, weighing around 17 grams, as well as the buy-bust money, and other drug paraphernalia from suspects alias “Mark”, 35, of Purok 1, Brgy. 7, Kabankalan; alias “Cherrylyn”, 37, of Purok 1, Brgy. 2, Kabankalan; and alias “Richard”, 33, of Purok 1, Brgy. Talubangi, also in Kabankalan City.
The suspects will be charged for violation of sections 5, 6, 7, 11, and 12, Article II of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, the PDEA-NIR said.
The operation was in coordination with PDEA-NIR Regional Special Enforcement Team, PDEA Negros Occidental Provincial Office, Kabankalan City Police Station, and the Coast Guard Intelligence Unit Southern Negros Occidental, it added. ||
