NIR police office honors five cops

Five outstanding police personnel were honored by the Police Regional Office-Negros Island Region (PRO-NIR) during the flag-raising ceremony at Camp Alfredo M. Montelibano Sr. in Bacolod City on Monday, Sept. 29.

PLt. Col. Antonio Benitez, head of the Bacolod City Police Office Drug Enforcement Unit, and Patrolman Ramon Moquerio III were both conferred the Medalya ng Kadakilaan in recognition of their successful buy-bust operation at Purok Cereza South, Barangay 3 on Aug. 15.

The Medalya ng Kagalingan was awarded to PLt. Col. Terrence Paul Santa Ana and PSSg  Joash  Bompat, both assigned at the Victorias City Police Station, for the  arrest of NIR’s  top one  most wanted person, who is facing murder charges, last July 10.

PCol. Emelie Santos received the Medalya ng Kasanayan in recognition of her commendable leadership and invaluable contribution as Siquijor provincial police director, which significantly led to the attainment of outstanding adjectival rating for three consecutive months from April to June.

Meanwhile, newly-promoted police commissioned officers PLt. Colonels Jethro Mipana, Nelson Amsiwen Jr., Ralph Lauren Morelos, Romar Pacis and Joel Senogat Jr. took their oath and donned new ranks before PBrig. Gen. Arnold Thomas Ibay, PRO-NIR regional director, and Regional Director Owen de Luna of the National Police Commission-NIR. | GB
