Isabela National High School has dominated the recent Southern District Robotics Competition, clinching the championship titles in the Project Innovative Ideas and Mission Challenge categories.
Gil Montilla NHS-Cabadiangan Extension secured victory in the Sumobot category while Cabacungan NHS emerged as the champion in the Line Tracing category.
In the elementary level, Barangay V Elementary School claimed the championship in both the Mission Challenge and Line Tracing categories while Binulig ES captured the championship in the Sumobot competition.
The districtwide event was spearheaded by the Office of Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson through the Negros Occidental Language and Information Technology Center and Pinoy Robot Games, in partnership with the Office of Sipalay City Mayor Maria Gina Lizares and Department of Education Sipalay City Division.
The top five winners will advance to the 5th Battle of Bots Provincial Level Competition on Sept. 30 to Oct. 2.
Winners in the high school level for Innovative Project Ideas: champion – Kyla Peñonal and Glaze Ahkia Porras (Isabela NHS); second place – Ralph Joshua Perez and Kishia Dagumampan (Isabela NHS); third place – Fergie Alarcon and Kenji Buligan (Hinigaran NHS); 4th Place – Claire Azhanti Estañol and Jules Evan Villaluz (Cabacungan NHS); and fifth Place – Xynia Franz Casuyon and Maureen Clarisse Singer (Himamaylan NHS).
Mission Challenge: champion – Rey Edmund Torres (Isabela NHS); second place – Rey Joseph Castillo (Guiljungan NHS); third place – Earl John Sabillo (Maricalum Farm School); fourth place – Rhyle Shamzey Aguirre (Guinpana-an NHS); and fifth place – Nizzan Marie Rioja (Isabela NHS).
Sumobot: champion – Hermes Laurena Amparado (GMNHS – Cabadiangan Ext.); second place – Bonifacio Pedrosa (Omas Integrated School); third place – Jelo Parnay (Maricalum Farm School); fourth place – Sam Owen Pineda (Tabu NHS); and fifth place – Juljen Wonne Villaluz (Cabacungan NHS).
Line Tracing: champion – Jorge Elgario (Cabacungan NHS); second place – Jovytte Tabino (Isabela NHS); third place – Phebbie Membrido (Cabacungan NHS); fourth place – John Mark Tabotabo (Jacinto Montilla Memorial NHS); and fifth place – Will Fryd Cantero (Gil Montilla NHS).
