The Police Regional Office-Negros Island Region (PRO-NIR) honored its outstanding personnel during the flag-raising ceremony held at Camp Alfredo Montelibano Sr. in Bacolod City yesterday.
PLt. Col. Albert Sy and PSSg Jerry Kim Ughayon were both awarded with the Medalya ng Kagalingan for the successful manhunt operations on July 9 in Escalante City, Negros Occidental that led to the arrest of a regional top 10 most wanted person.
The Medalya ng Kadakilaan was conferred to PLt. Richard Legada and PSSg Rodney Orence in recognition of their high-impact buy-bust operation on April 28 in Bacolod City, which resulted in the arrest of two drug suspects and the seizure of PHP1.8 million worth of shabu.
The Kabankalan Component City Police Station led by PLt. Col. Roberto Indiape Jr. was also honored by the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (NOCPPO) for being a top performing component city police station in the campaign against illegal drugs from April 2024 to March 2025.
NOCPPO also cited the Cadiz City Police Station led by PLt. Col. John Joel Batusbatusan also for their exemplary performance in the campaign against illegal drugs. | GB
