Vice Governor Jose Benito Alonso is sitting as the acting governor of Negros Occidental for 12 days as Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson is taking a leave from the Provincial Capitol during the period Aug. 21 to Sept. 2.
In his executive order, Lacson designated Alonso to temporarily take over province’s highest post “to ensure the continuous and effective delivery of basic and social services”.
He also assigned Sixth District Board Member Genaro Alvarez IV as acting vice governor.
Lacson did not provide details for his leave. | GB
