A town police chief and two others sustained injuries after figuring in a vehicular accident in La Carlota City, Negros Occidental on Saturday.
Police report said those on board were PCapt. Dennis Melgarejo, officer-in-charge of La Castellana Municipal Police Station, as well as a non-commissioned police officer, and an arrested drug suspect.
The police service vehicle fell into a canal due to slippery road in the area of Barangay La Granja.
Melgarejo suffered injuries in the head while his two companions sustained minor injuries.
The vehicular accident took place as they were on their way back to La Castellana, after subjecting the arrested drug suspect to a drug test in Bacolod City. | GB
