Personnel of the Negros Oriental Police Provincial Office are undergoing the third quarter physical fitness test (PFT), as part of the Philippine National Police’s ongoing commitment to maintaining the health and physical readiness of its men and women.
Those taking the PFT in the province are cops born in the months of July, August, and September. Personnel aged 22 to 34 years old were tested July 22, and July 23 for those aged 35 to 55, the NORPPO said.
In line with health and safety protocols, all personnel are required to undergo an electrocardiogram (ECG) test, regardless of age, to determine their fitness to safely participate in the activity.
The PFT serves as a vital initiative to ensure that all personnel remain physically capable of performing their duties, within and outside the camp, particularly those assigned to field operations.
This 3rd Quarter PFT reaffirms the PNP’s commitment to building a healthier, more resilient, and mission-ready police force.
“NORPPO continues to uphold the highest standards of physical preparedness, ensuring that every cop is fit to serve and ready to respond to the call of duty anytime, anywhere,” it added.
This initiative also supports the chief PNP’s directive for a swift five-minute response time to incidents, reinforcing its mission to serve and protect the community with urgency, efficiency, and excellence.
Meanwhile, in celebration of the National Blood Donor Month this July, the NORPPO, under provincial director, P/Col. Ronan Claravall, actively took part in the bloodletting activity spearheaded by the Silliman University Medical Center Department of Internal Medicine.
The event, in collaboration with the SUMCFI Blood Bank, the Philippine College of Physicians-Negros Oriental Chapter, and the Silliman University Medical Students Association, was held at the SUMC Basement Big Training Room recently.
“PNP personnel from various police stations, offices, and units under the NORPPO were able to donate blood, and this meaningful participation reflected our unwavering commitment to public service. By sharing our blood, we reaffirm our shared mission and vision to build a stronger, healthier, and united community,” it added. ||
