Police anti-drug operatives confiscated about P374,000 worth of suspected shabu from a lone suspect in a buy-bust at Purok Oraro in Barangay 4, Bacolod City on Thursday (July 3).

Arrested was Ariel Fuentes, 52, a high-value individual drug personally, the police said.

His arrest yielded an estimated 55 grams of suspected shabu priced at P6,800 per gram.

On Wednesday, a buy-bust operation in Barangay San Juan, Pontevedra led to the arrest of alias “Tuloy,” 44, a tricycle driver, and the recovery of about 20 grams of suspected shabu valued at P136,000.

Separate buy-busts in the cities of Cadiz and Silay in Negros Occidental resulted in the arrest of two  drug suspects and the recovery of 6.2 grams of suspected shabu worth P36,840, according to reports of the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office.

The confiscated 46.3 grams of suspected has a total market value of P552,840.

The four arrested drug suspects are now locked up in jail and facing charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. | GB
