Social Security System president and chief executive officer, Robert Joseph Montes De Claro, is expected to attend the blessing and inauguration of the relocated service office of SSS in La Carlota City, Negros Occidental on June 9.

The transfer of the office, from Agora II building to the 182 square-meter one-storey building along Ciro Locsin Street, adjacent to the Land Transportation Office and the City Evacuation Center, is seen to provide better accessibility and convenience for members, particularly senior citizens and persons with disabilities, the city earlier said.

SSS vice president for Visayas West 1 Division Lilani Benedian and Mayor Rex Jalando-on already signed the memorandum of agreement to relocate the service office to a more accessible and improved facility, it added.

“This partnership reflects our commitment to delivering seamless public service,” Jalando-on had said at the MOA signing, adding the new location will ensure that services will be more accessible to the growing number of SSS members in the city.

Benedian, meanwhile, thanked the LGU for its support, and stressed that the improved facility aligns with SSS’ mission to provide hassle-free and inclusive services.

“We assure you of our continued service,” she told SSS members from La Carlota and neighboring towns and cities, adding the relocated office will ensure easy access and convenience, especially to pensioners and vulnerable clients.

The MOA signing May 22 was witnessed by SSS officials Emilia Solinap, head of the Bago Branch, and Signe Trigue from the Accounts Management Section, Councilor Akoy Sia, and councilor-elect Jegie Aguirre, among others. | CGC
