A vendor drowned on Good Friday, April 18, in Sipalay City while two others died in separate shooting and stabbing incidents on Black Saturday in Talisay City and Binalbagan, Negros Occidental, respectively, police reports showed.
The body of alias “Requilme”, was found floating along the shoreline of Purok Guiwanon in Barangay 4, Sipalay City.
Before the incident, the victim was confined at the Sipalay City infirmary due to excessive drinking and body tremors.
Based on the testimonies of his family members, the victim was observed to have been mentally unstable and hallucinating, the police report said.
Meanwhile, a member of Bantay Bukid is the subject of a manhunt operation after he was linked to a shooting incident in Sitio Malasaga, Barangay Katilingban in Talisay City on April 19.
The suspect, identified by the police as alias “Judgie”, allegedly shot and killed alias “Arnold”, a resident of Hacienda Hiyang-Hiyang in the barangay.
Based on accounts of a witness, the victim and his brother were at the entrance of Malasaga Falls when the shooting incident happened.
The victim succumbed to various gunshot injuries while the suspect fled, a police report said.
A Smith and Wesson caliber .22 with five ammunition was also recovered from the victim when his cadaver was initially examined by the police.
A farmer, on the other hand, was found dead Saturday in Sitio Alindasao, Barangay Bi-ao, Binalbagan.
The victim, identified by the police as alias “Robert”, 47, succumbed to multiple stab wounds.
The Binalbagan police has yet to establish the motive for the killing. | GB
