Five drug suspects in NegOcc arrested

Anti-drug operatives arrested five persons and recovered about P455,000 worth of suspected shabu in a series of buy-busts in Negros Occidental on March 8, police records showed.

The bulk of the illegal drugs, estimated at 55 grams, were recovered from two suspects at Sitio Alo in Barangay Enclaro, Binalbagan.

The arrest of suspects with aliases “Lyndon”, 35; and “Marvin”, 31, of Barangay Aguisan, Himamaylan City yielded about P374,000 worth of suspected shabu.

Their companion, alias “Titing”, managed to escape, according to the police.

In Silay City, alias “Gerome”, 53, a construction worker, yielded eight grams of suspected shabu valued at P54,000 during an operation at Sitio Barra in Barangay Mambulac.

The arrest of two more suspects, with aliases “Millan”, 60, and “Kalbo”, 40, in Valladolid and Cadiz City, respectively led to the confiscation of four grams of suspected shabu worth P27,200.

All the arrested suspects are facing charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, according to a report of the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office. | GB
