The 46th Philippine Association of Water Districts national convention opened Feb. 27 at the SMX Convention Center in Bacolod City, and graced by Negros Occidental Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson.
Lacson said he firmly believes that local water districts are the backbone of water delivery services, bridging the gap between resources and the people.
He said their efficient operations are essential in safeguarding water security.

“Water security requires more than the availability of water. It demands that our local water districts operate efficiently, sustainably, and resiliently,” Lacson said in a Capitol press release.
He also commended the association for providing a venue for knowledge-sharing and capacity-building, which will inspire insightful discussions and empower participants.
“This convention is a vital opportunity to exchange ideas and navigate the challenges and opportunities of digital transformation and governance,” Lacson stressed. ||
