Reelectionist Senator Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr. and his wife, Congresswoman Lani Mercado-Revilla, were met with overwhelming support during a campaign motorcade that passed through Bacolod, Talisay, and Silay in Negros Occidental Feb. 21.

The couple made stops at Libertad Market, Bacolod Central Market, and Burgos Market – where a massive crowd of Negrenses lined the streets, waving and cheering at the senator.

Grateful for the enthusiastic reception, Revilla expressed his appreciation for the people of Negros Occidental, vowing to continue serving with dedication and sincerity.

“Napakasarap sa pakiramdam ang ganitong mainit na pagsalubong. Maraming salamat po sa inyong suporta. Patuloy tayong magsisikap para sa mas magandang kinabukasan ng bawat Pilipino,” he said in a statement.

The Negros Occidental leg of the Alyansa Para sa Bagong Pilipinas campaign rally was held at the Victorias City Coliseum, where the 12 senatorial candidates of the administration’s Alyansa wooed support from Negrenses in the May 12 midterm elections.

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. later joined senatorial bets Revilla, Manny Pacquiao, Francis Tolentino, Ping Lacson, Tito Sotto, Benhur Abalos, Lito Lapid, Erwin Tulfo, Imee Marcos, Abby Binay, Camille Villar, and Pia Cayetano, and exhorted support from Negrenses.

The Alyansa Para sa Bagong Pilipinas unites the country’s five leading political parties, namely, the Partido Federal ng Pilipinas, Lakas-Christian Muslim Democrats, Nationalist People’s Coalition, Nacionalista Party, and National Unity Party.

They advocate for priority bills in the upcoming legislative session, focusing on economic relief, job creation, social welfare, and governance reforms. | CGC
