The mandatory drug testing for more than 300 personnel of the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (NOCPPO) yielded negative results, spokesperson PCapt. Judesses Catalogo said yesterday.
The NOCPPO police personnel, including PCol. Rainerio de Chavez, police provincial director, underwent drug testing in December.
Regular drug testing is being conducted, especially for those assigned in drug enforcement units, to ensure that they are not engaged in illegal drug activities, Catalogo said.
The Philippine National Police has reiterated its warning of dismissal from the service of those hooked into illegal drugs. | GB
