Regular and plantilla casual personnel of the Negros Occidental provincial government will receive P55,000 in bonuses starting next week.
Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson made the announcement during the Christmas party of the Capitol employees, which coincided with his birthday, on Friday, Dec. 13.
The amount comprises P30,000 for Collective Negotiation Agreement bonus, P20,000 for Service Recognition Incentive, and P5,000 for Productivity Enhancement Incentive.
The gratuity pay for job order and contract of service employees will also increase from P5,000 to P7,000, he said.
The P55,000 in bonuses will be received by the regular and plantilla casual workers on top of the mid-year bonus, year-end bonus and cash gift.
Being a Seal of Good Local Governance awardee in 2023 and 2024, the province can also release the Performance Based Bonus (PBB), which is equivalent to 60 percent of the employees’ basic pay, for two years.
As of this time, the guidelines for the release of the PBB has yet to be released by the Department of Budget and Management.
Lacson instructed the provincial government finance cluster to begin releasing the bonuses by Monday.
In 2022 and 2023, the Capitol employees also received P55,000 in bonuses. | GB
