Bago is the first local government unit in the province to partner with the university in providing full scholarships to deserving yet underprivileged students who are interested in taking agriculture courses.

This is also in support of the government’s advocacy for food security through encouraging young individuals to pursue agriculture, the city said Nov. 21.

Legazpi, for his part, extended his gratitude to Yulo and the local government for making this endeavor possible.

Also present were city administrator-designate Tricia Matti and staff, along with scholarship office personnel of UNO-R, among others. ||
