A female forest guard volunteer was summarily executed by armed men at Sitio Taytay 3 in Barangay Carabalan, Himamaylan City, Negros Occidental on Thursday, Nov. 14.
Initial investigation of the Himamaylan City Police Station showed that a group of persons barged into the residence of the 47-year-old victim, whose identity is being withheld by the police.
The victim and her son were dragged outside of their home by the suspects, according to the police.
Without any reason and provocation, the victim was shot in the face and after she fell to the ground, was shot again.
PLt. Col. Anthony Grande, Himamaylan City police chief, said they are looking into grudge as among the possible motives of the crime.
The victim was declared dead on arrival at a medical facility in Himamaylan City.
Investigators have already identified persons of interest, the police said. | GB
