Three local artists are set to exhibit their works starting Nov. 16 at Orange Project, Art District Mandalagan, in Bacolod City.

Hilario Romeo Campos III is set to reveal his latest exhibit, “Same World, Different Dimensions”, on Nov. 16 at 3 p.m. The solo exhibition at the main gallery of Orange Project will run until Jan. 3, 2025.

Campos III’s exhibit guarantees that visitors will experience a world where imagination and reality intertwine. Inspired by his childhood experiences growing up in Manapla, Negros Occidental, the artist draws from Filipino folklore and popular culture to create fantastical creatures and landscapes, the press release said.

Visitors can expect to see a diverse range of artworks, including paintings, sculptures, and installations, featuring creatures like the tiktik, the tamawo, and the manananggal, reimagined through the artist’s unique artistic vision.

The artistic talents of the Sarnate family, meanwhile, will be on full display as two generations of artists, Susanito and Vincent Sarnate, will hold their solo exhibitions at the second level of Orange Project.

Vincent’s “Hamu-ok”, her first solo exhibition, is a collection of artworks that explores the often-overlooked need for bedtime stories among adults.

While children may find comfort in familiar tales, adults often grapple with the complexities of modern life. “Hamu-ok” aims to offer solace and inspiration, evoking a sense of calm and wonder for those seeking inner peace and tranquility.

Susanito’s “Satyr” delves into the profound impact of human intelligence and the ethical implications of technological advancements. The artist explores themes of genetic engineering, biotechnology, and the potential consequences of human intervention in the natural world.

Through his artworks, Susanito questions the balance between human progress and spiritual wisdom, highlighting the duality of human nature and the importance of making conscious choices aligned with a higher purpose.

The simultaneous exhibition of the father and daughter, that will also run until Jan. 3, offers a unique artistic experience, inviting viewers to explore diverse perspectives on the human condition and the world around us. | Orange Project photos
