A series of operations against illegal drugs in Western Visayas led to the arrest of 22 drug suspects and the recovery of about 417 grams of suspected shabu worth P2.8 million on Sept. 20 to 22.
Of the 22 arrested persons, four were tagged by the police as high-value individuals and 18 as street-level individuals.
The Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit-6 has the biggest volume of confiscation amounting to P1.2 million, followed by Iloilo City Police Office, P1.094 million and Capiz Police Provincial Office, P231,000.
The Bacolod City Police Office seized P194,000 worth of illegal drugs while the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office, P70,000, and Iloilo Police Provincial Office, P27,000.
On the same period, the campaign against wanted persons in Western Visayas led to the arrest of 24 fugitives, of which eight have been arrested in Negros Occidental and two in Bacolod City. | GB
