A student died after he was believed to have been electrocuted by a water heater in his house in Purok 9, Barangay Aguisan, Himamaylan City, Negros Occidental Aug. 25.
Initial investigation by the Himamaylan City Police Station showed the incident occurred in the kitchen while “RJ”, 22, was plugging in an electric heater to boil water.
RJ’s mother said that while they were on the balcony, they were shocked to see the victim thrown from the kitchen and falling to the ground, the police reported.
The victim was rushed to the Binalbagan Infirmary, but was declared dead on arrival by an attending physician.
His family said minor electrical shocks had been experienced from the water heater before. | TMD
