Two-day police operations resulted in the recovery of suspected shabu and firearms from three arrested suspects in Negros Occidental.
On Wednesday, July 24, the apprehension of alias “Joshua” during a buy-bust in Barangay 39, Bacolod City yielded about 15 grams of shabu valued at P102,000.
A day earlier, a 62-year-old farm overseer was arrested in Hacienda Basa, Barangay 10, Victorias City.
The raid, which was conducted by virtue of a search warrant issued by Judge Leonardo Facultad, led to the recovery of a caliber .22 revolver with five ammunition, a homemade shotgun, and a 19-inch ice pick.
A 58-year-old farmer was also arrested in Barangay Ilaya, Calatrava for illegal possession of firearms on Tuesday.
The suspect yielded a caliber .45 pistol with a magazine containing ammunition. Upon checking his sling bag, the police also recovered a steel magazine containing seven more ammunition, according to the police report.
The three apprehended suspects are now locked up in jail. | GB
