A series of buy-bust operations in Negros Occidental led to the arrest of three drug suspects and the recovery of P419,000 suspected shabu on Feb. 8.
In Bacolod City, operatives of the Police Station 5 Drug Enforcement Team seized about 50 grams of suspected shabu worth P340,000, from an arrested drug peddler identified only as “Jojo Jembo” in Purok Rosas, Barangay Taculing.
The operation in Barangay San Juan, Pontevedra led to the recovery of 10 grams of suspected shabu valued at P68,000, marked money of P500, and illegal drugs paraphernalia.
The 39-year-old suspect, a laborer from Barangay Enclaro, Binalbagan, is now detained at the municipal police custodial facility.
In Toboso, a 23-year-old resident of Barangay San Jose, yielded 1.62 grams of suspected shabu worth P11,600.
He was arrested in Sitio Stop Aguinaldo, Barangay San Isidro. | GB
