A three-vehicle collision claimed the life of a woman and injured her husband in Barangay Patic, Pulupandan, Negros Occidental on Feb. 3.
Initial police investigation showed that a Honda motorcycle with a side car driven by Danilo Arandilla, 46, with his wife, Lilibeth, 48, as passenger, was hit on the rear by the public utility jeepney driven by Joeffrey Chica.
The jeepney driver made a full stop to allow the passage of another vehicle.
As a result, the tricycle driven by Arandilla hit the Isuzu truck from the opposite direction, investigation further showed.
His wife died immediately after she was ran over by the truck driven by Alvin John Cordero while Arandilla was brought to Bago City Hospital.
Both Cordero and Chica are under the custody of the Pulupandan Municipal Police Station, pending further investigation. | GB
