The Sangguniang Panlungsod of Bacolod has passed a resolution Jan. 3 congratulating the Pentecostal Missionary Church of Christ (4th Watch) on the occasion of its International Missionary Day and Home Free 15 Global Crusade on Jan. 14.
The resolution, authored by Councilor Claudio Jesus “Kalaw” Puentevella, said the PMCC 4th Watch is active in social work through medical, disaster rescue, and educational outreach, and has established a national network of schools offering quality Christian education.
As a result of its worldwide endeavors, it now has presence in almost every major city and province in the Philippines and in more than 70 countries, the resolution said, adding that in line with its anniversary celebration, the PMCC held a bloodletting in 30 locations all over the country in July last year, in partnership with the Philippine Red Cross, and collected 4,023 bags of blood.
“The SP of Bacolod expresses its respect and deep admiration to the PMCC (4th Watch) leader and founder, Apostle Arsenio Ferriol, for leading the church to its golden years of upholding and preserving the teachings of Jesus Christ, and the traditions of the apostles and that of the first century Christian church that result in responsible citizenry in every place where it is established,” it added.
Puentevella said the Christian denomination marked its 50th anniversary on Aug. 27, 2023, physically attended by about 50,000 delegates from all over the country and abroad at the New Clark City Capas in Tarlac.
Its 2024 International Missionary Day and Home Free 15 Global Crusade this Jan. 14 will be held at the Quirino Grandstand, Rizal Park, Manila, coinciding with the 88th birthday of its leader and founder, he added. | CGC
