Riverside graduate Top 1 in physical therapist exam

Ma. Angelica Faye Zapanta dela Victoria, a graduate of Riverside College Bacolod, landed in Top 1 of the Physical Therapists (PT) licensure examination, with a rating of 89.70 percent, as per results released by the Professional Regulation Commission Dec. 5.

The school, which produced 61 newly-registered PTs, with an 83.10 percent passing rate for first takers, congratulated Dela Victoria for clinching the top spot.

“As our Senior High School and College alumna, you’ve made us all immensely proud as you set the standard for excellence. Here’s to celebrating your success and looking forward to the incredible impact you’ll undoubtedly make in the field of physical therapy”, the school told the topnotcher in a post. “May your journey continue to inspire, and may your success be a beacon of hope for those with dreams yet to unfold”.

The PRC said 1,288 out of 1,884 examinees passed the PT exam, while 323 out of 554 hurdled the Occupational Therapists licensure examination simultaneously administered by the Board of Physical and Occupational Therapy in the National Capital Region, Baguio, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Pampanga, and Rosales early this month.

Kizha Marie Sevidal Gabutan of the University of the Philippines-Manila landed in Top 1 of the occupational therapist exam, with an 85 percent rating.

The issuance of Professional Identification Card and Certificate of Registration will be done online on Jan. 29-31, Feb. 1-2, Feb. 5-9, and Feb. 12-16, 2024, the PRC said, adding that the date and venue for the oathtaking ceremony will be announced later. | CGC
