The Governor’s Cup Taekwondo Championships will be held on Nov. 19 at the Ayala Malls Capitol Central in Bacolod City, tournament manager Vic Feria, also the overall coach of Hanah Taekwondo Academy, said Nov. 7.
This is the first ever Governor’s Cup to be held in Bacolod since the previous editions were conducted outside of the City.
“This taekwondo competition is an initiative of Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson to develop the martial arts skills in the grassroots level in the province, with the hope of discovering and molding the future world-class Negrense athletes, who will bring pride and honor by winning medals in national and international competitions,” Feria said.
The competition is open to all interested Negrense taekwondo jins. Registration is free, and cash prizes await the winners, he added. ||
