Provincial Legal Officer, Atty. Alberto Nellas Jr., assures the Progressive Alliance of Capitol Workers (PACE) of a fair probe on 18 employees of the Provincial Disaster Management Program Division (PDMPD), who are subject of complaints for alleged irregularities in the performance of their duties, and their behavior towards their co-workers.
The PLO issued show-cause orders to the 18 PDMPD employees for failure to comply with the rule on the submission of trip tickets immediately after their travel, and some of them for their behavior.
Of the employees, 13 are ambulance drivers, three administrative aides, one senior officer, and a utility worker.
PACE earlier called for a fair probe on the PDMPD workers, stressing that while they are not tolerating misbehavior among Capitol employees, due process should be accorded to them.
Nellas said that the results of their investigations are always based on substantial evidences.
Knowing that PDMPD is a huge office and each personnel cannot be strictly monitored, Nellas stressed the need to police their own ranks. He refused to comment on the overall management of the PDMPD.
He also said that the issuance of the show-cause orders is one way of “policing the ranks”.
The show-cause orders came in the wake of the suspension of five employees of the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist, for 60 days, pending investigations of alleged grave misconduct committed./GB
