Re-elected Negros Occidental Vice Governor Jeffrey Ferrer and his wife, 4th District Representative, Atty. Juliet Ferrer, took their oaths of office before Judge Aireen Bonghanoy of the Municipal Trial Court in Cities Bago this afternoon, May 16.
The reelected mayor of La Carlota City, Dr. Rex Jalando-on, and re-elected Sangguniang Panlungsod member Julius Martin Asistio were among those who witnessed the ceremony and showed their support to the power couple.
Among their priority projects in La Carlota were the construction of school buildings for the La Carlota City College and Senior High School, Dona Hortencia Salas Benedicto National High School, farm-to-market roads, such as the Sitio Bugcos FMR, barangay halls, and La Granja and Guintubdan roads, the city said in a press release.
They are also instrumental in the establishment of a hemodialysis center in the city.
Along with the city government of La Carlota, the Ferrer couple is also working towards the construction of the City Circumferential Road, which aims to divert traffic away from the city proper and to spread development in the countryside./NND
