OVY leads Ceres Transport annual stockholders meeting

The Ceres Transport Inc. (CTI), one of the companies owned and managed by the Yanson Group of Bus Companies and plying the major routes in Luzon, held its annual stockholders’ meeting Feb. 7, led by Olivia V. Yanson, at the Ceres’ main office in Brgy. Mansilingan, Bacolod City.

Re-elected directors are OVY, Leo Rey Yanson, Ginnette and Charles Dumancas, Rey Ardo, Daniel Nicolas Golez, Arvin John Villaruel, Anita Chua, Joseph Ellery Villanueva, Hernan Omecillo, and Alfredo Ligo.

Stockholders Roy Yanson and Ricardo Yanson Jr. were absent despite due notices sent to them, the CTI said in a statement.

LRY said the company is committed to provide the riding public with the most reliable means of transportation amid the challenges of the pandemic.

A Bacolod City court, in an October 2021 decision, granted OVY the mandate to oversee and administer the estate of her late husband, Ricardo Yanson, who co-founded with her the Yanson Group of Bus Companies in 1968. — MML
