Capitol employees can expect a merrier Yuletide celebration this year despite the COVID-19 pandemic.
Provincial Administrator Rayfrando Diaz announced yesterday that Capitol employees are expected to receive additional bonuses next month, citing the many awards and recognitions received by the provincial government, under the leadership of Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson.
Starting this month, Diaz said the provincial government will release the 14th month pay of Capitol employees, to be followed by other bonuses, including the Collective Negotiation Agreement, Incentive Benefits for Exemplary Service, and performance bonus.
He, however, refused to divulge the total amount of bonuses, saying that Lacson will be the one to announce it, after the passage of the proposed 2022 budget by the Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Negros Occidental.
Last year, Capitol employees received P40,000 of bonus each.
Diaz said that provincial government employees went through a very rough year because of the pandemic just to continue the delivery of public service.
“We want to perk up their spirit by giving what it due to them,” he stressed. — GB
