Policemen arrested seven suspected drug peddlers and confiscated P421,600 worth of illegal drugs in a series of buy-bust operations in Negros Occidental on June 10 and 11.
Two drug suspects, whose identities are being withheld by the police, yielded about 50 grams of suspected shabu valued at P340,000 in Lacson Village, Barangay Burgos, Cadiz City on Monday.
Also seized were a caliber .38 revolver with five ammunition and the P500 marked money.
On the same day, operatives arrested two more suspects, both 21 years old, which led to the confiscation of eight grams of suspected shabu valued at P54,400 and P100 in marked money in Sitio Barra, Barangay Mambulac, Silay City.
The apprehension of three other suspects in the cities of Bago, Talisay and Victorias yielded about three grams of suspected shabu worth P27,200.
All the arrested suspects are facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. | GB
