More than 3,900 beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) in Western Visayas are subject for final evaluation and possible exclusion in the assistance program, said Belen Gebusion, division chief of the Pantawid Program of the DSWD Region 6.
Gebusion said that included in the list are those who are no longer qualified, had already graduated from the program, or have violated the rules of the Social Assistance Program of the national government.
She added that they have received the order to clean the list of beneficiaries from the office of DSWD Secretary Erwin Tulfo, as ordered by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.
Gebusion said that the final evaluation of those in the list will be the basis if their names will be deleted from the program, or not.
In Talisay City in Negros Occidental, City Social Welfare and Development head Dionela Madrona said she has submitted around 200 names of 4Ps beneficiaries, who are no longer qualified to be in the program.
Madrona said that most of those in the list have no more children under 18 years old, or have improved their status of living./Mitch Lipa
